Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars is a popular location for photography. We encourage visitors to photograph our beautiful farm and their experiences. Photography for personal use and not for profit is allowed without a permit.
On occasion, guests wish to use our beautiful setting as the backdrop for professionally produced photography. While we try to extend every consideration to individuals and groups wishing to photograph at Blue Mountain Vineyards; professional photography must not interfere with normal operations or compromise the safety of our visitors, the quality of our farm, structures and other infrastructure. Please remember, this is private property.
Commercial and professional photographers and their clients are permitted on our farm under the following guidelines:
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Blue Mountain Vineyards considers portraiture by a professional photographer to be professional photography, even if income is not derived. This includes, but is not limited to, engagement, bridal, wedding, senior pictures, birthday, and family photography sessions conducted by a professional photographer.
Professional photography requires approval, must be scheduled in advance, and comply with our photography policy. A photography fee applies to photographers who are selling photos for profit or publication. This fee and policy also applies to any bridal or engagement photos, family portraits, etc. taken by professional or amateur photographers. The fee is $50 for a two hour session.
**Images cannot be used without the expressed permission of Blue Mountain Vineyards. A signed release is also required to show or sell our images.
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
We ask that you honor these policies when using Blue Mountain Vineyards as a backdrop for any photography. A signed release is also required to show or sell our images.
1. Professional photography fee is $50 for a two hour session, must be paid in advance.
2. Professional photography sessions must be scheduled in advance.
3. All professional photography must take place outdoors between the hours of 11am and 6pm. Times and dates are subject to availability based on winery and private events.
4. You are limited to 15 people in your group (including those taking the pictures).
5. No photos in the retail area.
6. No climbing trees and vineyard trellis wires or posts.
7. Please do not move, alter, or draw on any structures/property.
8. Please do not touch or move plant life. Do not hang backpacks or props on trees or plants.
9. No trampling, picking, or collecting flowers, leaves or grapes.
10. Do not disturb or feed the wildlife.
11. NO SWIMMING in the lake.
12. Areas are not reserved, and photography cannot take priority over other visitor activities. Visitors are free to use almost any areas at any times during our business hours.
13. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.
14. Any and all trash created by you must be removed from the property.
15. Flow of visitors along driveways and pathways must not be blocked at any time.
16. No changing areas are provided. A public restroom is available in the wine tasting facility.
17. Blue Mountain Vineyards assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to equipment. Take valuables with you when you park your car.
18. All photographers and clients must check-in and check-out at the wine tasting facility.
